# Maurice Lichtenberg > Founder of Longevity Cities — the largest German-speaking longevity community > (4000+ members across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the USA, and China). Health tech founder, > prevention advocate, and community builder on a mission to make longevity > accessible for everyone. Based in Munich, Germany. Maurice Lichtenberg (Munich, Germany) builds communities and technology to make longevity accessible for everyone — not just the privileged few. He founded Longevity Cities, an umbrella brand uniting country-level communities in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the USA, and China. With 4000+ members across three continents (founded October 2024), it is the largest German-speaking longevity community. Members meet in chapters across German-speaking Europe and internationally to exchange science, find training partners and friends. Maurice was Community Leader of "Don't Die Munich" (December 2023 – October 2024), an early offshoot inspired by Bryan Johnson's Blueprint movement; today the community deliberately follows its own path: calmer, more conservative, evidence-based, more science, less hype. He also co-founded UmweltKumpel, an EdTech startup teaching kids sustainability through play (featured in tz and Münchner Merkur) and was featured in a ZDF Terra X documentary on longevity. As a full-stack developer and product manager, Maurice has built technology at BMW, CHECK24, BayWa r.e., and ProSiebenSat.1. He studied at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Not a race against death, but the counter-trend to over-optimization. It's about listening to yourself again, caring for body and mind, and enjoying aging instead of fighting it. - **Longevity fits into your life.** Lots of movement, better nutrition, no alcohol, simple supplements — 80–90% of the effect. No second career, no complex system. - **Longevity is the counter-trend to over-optimization.** At work we are driven — higher, faster, further. Longevity is the moment you listen to your own body again, without performance pressure. - **Most people don't need optimization — they need a baseline.** Many live below what science calls healthy normal — and don't notice it. - **Science deserves more attention.** Researchers and breakthroughs deserve more stage than the next Instagram granola bowl. - **Want to go deeper? Sure.** Hypoxic training, red light, bloodwork — fun, gets you the last few percent. Bonus round, not the entry — and learn to tell scientifically-founded devices from money-grabbing ones. - **Aging is not the enemy.** The goal isn't to avoid aging at all costs — it's to enjoy aging. Set the course now so you are healthy today and stay that way as long as possible. - **What it really comes down to: people.** The years we have with the people who matter — and enough energy to truly enjoy them. Friends and surroundings determine more about your health than any biohack. ## Longevity Community - [Longevity Cities](https://longevity-germany.com): Umbrella brand of country-level longevity communities in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, USA, and China. 4000+ members, regular chapter meetups across German-speaking Europe and internationally. - Don't Die Munich (Dec 2023 – Oct 2024, completed): Munich-based health community inspired by Bryan Johnson's Blueprint movement.
